Even The Little Things Matter

We are surrounded by those in need of our attention, our encouragement, our support, our comfort, our kindness—be they family members, friends, acquaintances, or strangers. We are the Lord’s hands here upon the earth, with the mandate to serve and to lift His children. He is dependent upon each of us. ~ Thomas S. Monson, President of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints

Even the little things we do, like helping someone in their garden or holding open a door, can make life a little easier for them—and a little happier for us. You don’t have to look far to find opportunities to donate your time and energy. The beauty of following Christ's example is that we don't need to evaluate who, when or how we serve, we just get to act. It can be planned or spontaneous, for someone we know or a stranger. Christian service shies away from recognition, accepts no reward and is motivated by love. ~ Mormon.org
