NO MORE SUPPLIES NEEDED AT THIS TIME
Good morning RS Presidencies and Ward Humanitarians,
We have been assigned a huge and extremely fast assignment! 1000's of items are needed immediately for the fire victims here in WA State. The assignment given to us, Pasco Stake Sisters, is to send as many hygiene kits as possible. They need a lot of them. This assignment will take prayer, quick planning, quick gathering of hygiene items for the kits, and quick kit assembly.
1) ASAP - Each Ward RS President/Councilors along with the Ward Humanitarian, need to come up with an amount of kits that they feel they can fulfill. THIS AMOUNT OF KITS WILL NEED TO BE REPORTED TO ME ASAP. WE HAVE THE RESPONSIBILITY TO REPORT AN ESTIMATED AMOUNT OF KITS OUR STAKE CAN PROVIDE ASAP (as in today).. AND THEN THAT REPORT WILL BE SENT TO THOSE WORKING WITH THE FIRE RESPONSE EFFORTS. THIS STEP IS CRUCIAL.
Example: If you commit to say 300 kits or more in your ward, email or call Sister Barron and report that your ward will try and commit to 300 kits in your ward. If each ward could commit to 300.. then 1800 kits could be sent by our stake quickly. But if you feel prompted to do less or more, by all means.. go with that prompting in your ward. Every single kit will be needed.
2) Basic Hygiene Kit Items: hand towels 15x25, large soap, non breakable comb (no rat tail end), 6-8 oz. toothpaste, packaged toothbrush, travel shampoo, razor, and gallon sized zip lock baggy for assembling the kit
3) Each ward will be responsible to assemble the hygiene items into kits. As soon as I know when they will be needed by, I will let you know.. but begin and act as if we need them now! Because we might need them now :) Drop off is on Rd. 68 where a school bus is parked to gather items till Friday.
Please pray for our efforts. Other areas are on stand by, but we (Pasco Stake) can do this for those that are victims in our state. My heart aches for what so many are going through, and it will feel so good to reach out and give comfort.. I am available for any questions.
